I spent a lovely Christmas holiday in a remote area with panoramic views. The welcoming host offered great hospitality and cooked a delicious full English breakfast. One of the best aspects was the homely and warm atmosphere. The location was perfect for walkers and my 3 year old enjoyed playing games in the lounge and being chased by the animals around the house.
The lack of en suite facilities, TV and tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms and the guest lounge was a bit of a downside. the signs around the house with strict rules such as “out by 10” and “back by 5” were not very welcoming and created an uncomfortable atmosphere upon arrival.

Set in a remote location with breathtaking views of the Derbyshire dales, this beautiful cottage offers a warm and homely atmosphere. The friendly and welcoming host ensures a comfortable stay and caters to the needs of guests. The breakfast provided, including delicious fried duck eggs, is a delightful treat. The cottage is surrounded by friendly animals, creating a charming and relaxed ambiance.
The lack of en-suite facilities and TVs in the bedrooms and guest lounge should be clarified on the website.
